Who are Places for People?
Places for People is a group of companies that operates as an ethical business. We manage more than 60,000 homes across the UK, and we have a considerable landbank, which we are developing in order to create new communities. We are committed to the long-term management of these new communities, and any profits we make are put back into the business.
We aim to create environments where people and their families can prosper, in a way that doesn’t damage the environment. We do this by building new homes and improving existing neighbourhoods to a very high standard. We also offer care and support to individuals, childcare, training, job opportunities and personal loans.
Which properties can I rent?
A selection of our new build properties are available for rent.
How long does the rental agreement last?
We rent our units on a year’s assured shorthold tenancy.
How much do I pay?
Rent is set at a twelfth of 5% of the value of the property per year, paid in 12 montly installments. In special circumstances we may be able to negotiate a reduction of up to £50 per month.
Are the properties furnished?
Although furnishings are not included with the rent, each property is fitted with a brand new bathroom and kitchen. We will also supply flooring, light fittings and blinds. Furniture starter kits starting at £30PCM for a one-bedroom apartments, £40PCM for a two-bedroom and £50PCM for a three-bedroom apartment are available.
How do I qualify?
You will be asked to provide up to date references and pass a credit check.
What will I need to pay upfront?
We require a month’s rent payable in advance, and a month’s rent as security bond.
Are there any restrictions?
While renting a Places for People home you cannot sub-let your property.
You must be over 21 years old.
